I've got something going on with the cooling system on my 100. It is running fine, all gauges are reading normal, in fact the only reason I noticed the problem was the faint smell of coolant when I parked. Under the hood coolant reservoir was low, and I could see coolant had leaked at just about every available spot. I did a cooling system flush about a year and a half ago when I did the timing belt/water pump, and only use Toyota red coolant. Everything has been fine until I noticed this last week. It seems like the whole system is over pressured. Could it be something as simple as a thermostat or radiator cap? Any ideas? Here are some pics of how it's leaking...

I would go ahead and change the thermostat along with the radiator cap. You don't want to overpressure to the point of rupturing a soft line. It's cheap insurance to just go ahead and do both. It's 99.9% chance that it's the radiator cap, however, if the T-stat is sticking, it can boil the coolant in the block, then SNAP open very quickly, allowing a surge of pressure to go through the entire system, creating the symptoms you are experiencing as well.

^^^+1. Cheap insurance. I once many years ago strayed from my Toyota roots the car engine blew due to a faulty t-stat. Never showed anything wrong until the engine blew.

Thanks guys. I'm going to start with a new cap and thermostat, and since these look like the original hoses and clamps, probably go ahead and change those as well. At least it's not the middle of the summer and 100+ deg. outside! :)
