So I have a 2.5 hour drive this weekend for a camping trip and was checking out all the fluids on the 100. I noticed the coolant in the overflow reservoir was low so I stopped by the auto parts store to grab some coolant. I noticed that the Toyota approved coolant is bright pink, and from what I’ve read, that is the color in all the descriptions I’ve seen for Toyota’s. (I’m a car maintenance newb and have only ever owned GM vehicles). What I found though when I went to refill the overflow reservoir and check the level in radiator was not bright pink it was more of a greenish yellow. (I’ll attach a picture.)
My question is can I mix the two and just top off the overflow for the weekend and then do a coolant flush once I get back, or is that a big no no and I need a coolant flush before I head out.
I’ve also checked all the usual places for any coolant leaks and haven’t found anything.
Thanks

I would just add distilled water, unless you plan on driving to Antarctica for the weekend. When you get back you can drain and refill with coolant. Don’t forget the block drains on each side of the engine.

I agree. Top off with distilled and then perform your cooling system maintenance upon your return. In addition to what @Bisho recommended, inspect your heater T's and other coolant hose connections, especially if your reservoir was low.

When you checked the coolant reservoir was the system hot or cold?

I checked the heater ts and they look great. I’ll double check everything else again though.
When I checked it it was after the car was cooled and had been sitting for a couple hours after I got home from work.
