The 2L is not a well liked motor. It was the original diesel in the hilux. I think Bossman has one sitting on his floor in the Mecca.

I do think it is cool

You could always do a motor swap. Probably cheaper than the RZR.

Americans drive too much. How do these cars get so little miles? After perusing this sight I wonder if I should liquidate the 200 and the 4Runner and get one. I just don't know much about the 70 series.

I don't know much about them but I have been told to look for the H or B series with the better motors, heavier suspension, etc. over the L series. They are great little trucks but most are very plain. Not a bad thing in my book. I want one badly.

This is my favorite model available. The current evolution of this Cruiser is amazing.

Made the mistake (relative term) of sending mama that link, I feel certain that we will be selling off a few and she will end up in a Diesel 60 or 70 series within the next 12 months... Her exact words "I'm done with new, I want one of these" She wants the Prado or the 4Runner, but got some very strong advice against anything with the 2.4L diesel in it. 3.4, 4.0 or 4.2 all the way. Now to start putting pennies in the old LC jar again.

I agree JBo. That's the one that's always interested me......

Anyone have opinions of value on these JDM trucks? I don't know if that's a good or a bad price.....
