These are the more common tugs that pull the dolleys that carry the cans that carry the packages that carry your ipods that pay my cruiser habit.

Bomar, the tug you pictured are cool as s*** and relatively new to fedex. We call them super tugs. They actually lift the planes nose off the ground so you do not have to disconnect the hydraulics to the nosewheel steering. Of course you probably already know that.

We've taken out a few at 49 Tire and I've witnessed a bunch when I worked for Firestone.
I haven't seen a center post lift in years....does anyone even use those anymore? Also, can anyone see what happened to make that truck just fall off? Did something fail on the lift? (I realize it was a major "FAIL," but I'm wondering if the lift was jarred or if something broke...)

center post lifts are still out there. they are made now where when a cylinder goes out you don't have to break concrete.

this accident looks like the arms on the lift are not far enough out. The truck should not be on that rack IMOP.

Our accidents all happened because the rack was not set right. The car or truck was not centered right on the rack or a lock did not disengage and the operator was not paying attention.

I worked half the day in shop and thought of this video every time a car was raised up.

There are tons of them.

Sad part about many racks sold today if you put a full size pickup truck on them it voids the warranty even though they are a 10k lift.

Lift companies from my point of view try to do to much with to little. But from a tire shops view you don't want 4 specialty racks at $10g's a piece.

So they put more that should be on racks.

It is scary when you visit these shops and hear/see the stories.

Also jack stands are satan to the shops.

Had to post up a little progress I made over the last week or so. Got my swing out fabricated for the IPOR rear bumper and the RTT mounted. Still looking for the whiffle ball bat though:lol: Just about ready for the expedition this weekend with Jacque, Mark, Bomar, and the rest.

That is a good looking truck... Until now Heckler's was my all time favorite, now there is a contender..

I take that as a compliment too then... i used to help heckle with his junk when he lived down in Auburn... i even drove that truck once on a date... man, I remember when I had dates....

I tossed around the idea of buying it when he was trying to sell... but then I figured it would be a bit of over kill for the Kroger parking lot.
