Not sure if I'm the only idiot :bang: but I thought my climate system was FUBAR when I could not turn off the fan using the "OFF" button and could not deselect the A/C lit indicator on the display.

Turns out that if the cool box is "on" the A/C and fan MUST be on. It would be nice if the manual mentioned this (if its in there, I missed it).

Anyway, saved one trip to the dealer. . . .

Maybe this will spare others from my bewilderment (which only lasted a day till I figured it out, anyway. . . .)

Yup, it's in the manual :)

I ran across it when I first got my LC. Yes, I did RTFM before posting any questions :)

Thx. I only have a PDF of the manual so far (cumbersome) so thanks for the patience as I grope along in the dark.

You have PDF? Are you in the states? I would actually like a PDF copy so I can have it on my computer (that way I don't have to go out to the car to get fuse info, etc. -- I'm lazy :))

Can you email it to me by any chance?

I'd be interested in the manual as well if you could email it this way. Never got mine from the dealer who has yet to provide the promised replacement.

Hahaha....LOL. Just went through this same ordeal day before yesterday. :)

Hey folks.

Here is the link where you can pay for and download the PDF of the owners manual (in three parts) which includes the Nav book as well:

2008 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER / LC200 OWNERS MANUAL, NAVIGATION MANUAL eBooks Download

Its a commercial service so there is a fee of $12.99 which seems worth it. I have no financial interest in the company but I do resepect intellectual property rights, so I hope you all understand that I can't send my copy around.

For all I know, the manual may be in PDF form for free somewhere out there, but I could not find it.

Why do you only have a pdf??

Why do you only have a pdf??

Only a PDF because the car was used (less than 500 miles as stated) and the selling dealer did not have the manuals, the rear entertainment headphones, the DVD remote or the NAV DVD.

They claim the seller/original owner turned them in but that they were stolen by a test driver or by their own workers. Lovely. The story on the car is that it was purchased bye a septagenarian thinking it would be a cushy long distance car on the highway. CarFax and Toyota sales and service records confirm the story.

Apparently the wrinkly dude could not climb into the 200 very well and felt it was not as smooth as his previous Avalon. Thank goodness for foolish septagenarians who take $10k depreciation hits. Pretty happy to have bagged this 200 at well below invoice. with 419 miles.

I should be getting my paper manual and all the other missing stuff from the dealer soon. I am holding onto the full soft top and windows for the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara I traded as collateral for the missing bits.

Nice steal! Congrats :)
