Hey all:

Two things:

1. The 4th of July holiday adds 1 extra day of wait time on parts due to procurement closures at Toyota. In light of this, I will be shipping on Weds and Friday this week instead of Tuesday and Thursday.

2. I will be out of the office starting this Saturday, July 11th and back in the office on Tuesday, July 14th. I was commissioned by a client to deliver his 80 series to another state and thus will be on the road for a couple of days heading west.

Thanks as always to all of you.

Regards.

Well all, I'm back doing what I love to do:

Looking up part numbers, talking part numbers, finding part numbers, thinking part numbers, eating part numbers, breathing part numbers, memorizing part numbers, feeling part numbers, touching them, and taking pictures of them.

After a brief sojourn to clear my head and get out of the corporate rat race, I am back doing what I love to do best: Getting every one the parts they need for their Toyota Land Cruisers. I am devoting myself to this venture 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week for all of your Toyota Land Cruiser part needs.

Instead of being associated with a dealership, I have decided to go out on my own and "make bread out of rocks" (old Turkish proverb--for those of you that know me).

Contact methods:

1. This thread.
2. Email: onurazeri1@gmail.com
3. Phone call: 505.944.5081

I'm now a one-man operation. So I do ask that you give me a bit of patience when ordering parts, wanting quotes.

Quote turn around: 1-2 business days.

Beyond doing OEM New Toyota parts, I will also be developing a nascent area of need that I see in the Land Cruiser market which is consulting on part procurement, truck builds, restorations, referrals to other vendors that I have developed strong relationships with, referrals to shops and mechanics, and general technical information for your Toyota Land Cruiser.

Hope to be able to assist all of my good clients and customers as I have for a number of years now.

I look forward to connecting and talking about your Land Cruisers and I hope to see you on the trail in the near future.

Be well.

Hey Beno... Happy to see you back! And I wanted to say thank you for all that you do for our Toyota clubs!

Folks:

I am out of the office till Monday late when I get back from Denver.

I will have email and phone access most of the time but I will not be able to do any quotes, availability, or orders till I return.

Best is to email me your requests and I will get back to them when I return on Tuesday morning.

You are welcome to call but I will be driving a client's truck which means I will probably call you back when I stop at a rest stop or for something to eat.

Thank you and have a great weekend.

Don't take this the wrong way but why are clients paying you to drive their trucks?

Cuz he's a cheap date.

....also because if you have a truck that you just bought, and aren't comfortable wrenching in a pinch, it's kind of intimidating to take it long distance.

There's maybe 4 or 5 guys I would feel comfortable taking one of mine out, if there was any chance of a roadside breakdown--and Onur is one of them.

Time vs money. There are many people who have one or the other but not both. I suspect that @beno 's client had more money than time, so having a trusted Cruiser expert thoroughly inspect and road test a vehicle is more valuable than hiring shipper to transport it and having it show in a condition not advertised. I have heard many a time where the vehicle that was purchased did not meet the description given. And you get into a HUGE quagmire.

Have you read the greatest cruiser tale by @Sea Knight? It's a sticky at the top of the 40 section. He does this too. There are a handful of folks I would trust to do this, Lee and Onur are on that list.

When it came time to pick up the cruiser the opportunity to send Onur to get it was a no brainer! I would have loved to done it myself but it was actually cheaper instead of my wife and I bringing it back ourselves.

I drive the cruisers all the time and wish I could have coordinated for the pick up but life was just too busy. That being said to have someone like Onur bring it back I felt completely comfortable knowing he was driving it.

I would strongly recommend anyone needing a vehicle transported call Onur. Can't beat the experience and just a great guy to have a beer at the end of trip! If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to pm me, be happy to discuss it!

Don't take this the wrong way but why are clients paying you to drive their trucks?

Basically for several reasons:

1 - I just don't have the time
2- I know and trust Onur
3- I would rather pay someone I know who will take the greatest care of my vehicle / Investment Vs. a broker
4- It's Onur

I'm sure my experience was like others that trust Onur with their vehicles. Peace of Mind -

Onur came over to my place and did a brief inspection of the truck, reviewed with me what needed to be done when it arrived at Christos and he took the time to review his travel plans and what communications I could expect.

During the trip I was provided with map locations at each fuel stop and a brief overview of how things were progressing. I've shipped several trucks with brokers in the past and once it left the driveway I had to pull teeth to get updates. Not so with Onur.

The best thing was that I knew the guy I entrusted with my truck with had my best interest in hand and loved Cruisers. You just can't get that anywhere else.

At the end of the trip I was provided with detailed receipts and a review of the trip. Quick, Clear and Precise...

I turn all my own wrenches and love to drive, unfortunately my time constraints with work and family worked against me on this trip - I highly recommend Onur for any of your Land Cruiser Part Needs and also his Professional Services. I think this in a niche that he fills nicely - I encourage anyone to contact me if that have any questions.

Best regards,

J

O - just sent you an email with an annoying list of small parts I'm hoping you can help source for my humble little fleet of Toyotas, and got your autoreply about being on the road.

Are you still planning to head up north of the mason dixon to the CMCC event this weekend? Was looking forward to meeting you and lining up for the 70-series photo op, which might number 2 or 3?!

The latest box of goodies showed up....easy to place the order, right stuff shows up quickly and well packed....can't complain about that

Thank you Jon and John.
