I've got an '08 LX on which I've been replacing the old corroded Positive and Ground cables from the alternator.
I'm wondering if it's possible to bypass the Engine Bay Relay Box and wire the new positive alternator cable directly to the battery (with an appropriate fuse, of course)?
Is the factory setup with the + Alt cable running first to the EBRB just to allow for a fusible link in the system? Or are there any other reasons that it runs there before it supplies power to the battery?
