Well I thought I had one issue licked, but...
The cannister that I was referring to is located INSIDE the vehicle between the front and back seats.
When I originally posted this, I was told it probably was the charcoal cannister (part of the emissions control). Since then I bought a Haynes maunual and it shows the charcoal cannister as being in the enigine compartment....the cannister I'm referring to does not appear to be this item. I was wondering if it is some sort of auxuillary heater??

oes it have two pipes coming out of it pointed toward the front?
