What day? Saturday or Sunday or both? Showing rain for Sunday so I may come down there Saturday. Anybody from Raleigh want to Land Cruiser pool on Saturday?

Come both days!

I'm bringing my parents to uwharrie Sunday. Mom is gonna freak

^ haha I can't even get my mom in my 40

My mom drove my 40 on Sunday! She only went around the block then got scared she was gonna hit something and went home. Haha!

When I asked her to go she responded, "As long as we dont go up the big hills."

She doesn't know what she is getting in to...

What trails do you all suggest? I'll be solo so no Daniel unfortunately...

Going both days-looks like rain Sunday but not until late. The auction is on Saturday but the show isn't until Sunday. I don't think they'll have all the cars out until Sunday from what I can tell.

Go up Dicky Bell at a minimum. Warm her up on some easy stuff and tell her that's all that your gonna do then just hit the Dicky Bell climb by surprise. At the top stay to the left run for a nice challenge.

My experience is all the cars will be there, the weather looks good until late Sunday like you mentioned.

I'm hoping to make both days, not 100% sure, with the wife involved, who knows...

Pictures?

Took a lot but need to find time to download. Will try to get to it tonight. There were some beauties and luckily the weather held off until later in the day. Really enjoyed it.

I don't remember giving your permission to take photos of all my cars. Oh we'll :)

hehe...if that was your collection, where was the 40? :D

Great pictures. Thank you for posting.

No problem...my favorites were the 1936 Cord 810 Phaeton, the 1961 Aston Martin DB4GT, the gullwings (of course), the 1928 Bentley, and that beautiful 1937 Bugatti....oh and the 1915 Model T that looked like it was on it's last leg. They started it though-pretty amazing! The seats were horse hair I think-sadly I didn't get a pic of the interior. It was all original and in tatters. Captions to come!

Vintage race cars.....

For those of you who like racing, here's some cool pics my dad took of my uncle at the Summit Point Jefferson 500 this past weekend. He's in the #9 Triumph. Please excuse my dad's corny captions. :) Thought some of you racing guys would enjoy seeing the cool vintage cars.

Great TR3 - My friend Steve Ray had one when I was a kid, we used to work on it out back of the bike store we both worked in. Dang, I am getting old as that was almost 30 years ago. We took apart the carbs one day and cleaned them in the Safety Kleen machine - there were a lot easier to take apart then they were to put back together. Leather parts and all.

They are having this show again on May 4th. Anyone else going?
