Here I am leaning on the people on the forum. We are CO for the rest of the week. Montrose tonight, the Canyon City until Friday. Going to visit Pikes Peak and all that tourist stuff.

My question is do any of you know a tire shop on our route? We will be on 50 across the state. Montrose is out, I called around. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a Big O in Salida and Gunnison Tire & Auto in Gunnison

Chaffee Tire near downtown Salida carries a variety of tires, including BFG. Could wander around downtown and the Arkansas River while the work is done :)

From Canyon city you may just want to hit Colorado Springs, should be able to get anything you need.

Is there a specific tire and size you need? What's up?

I blew a tire yesterday.

I blew a tire yesterday on a side trail. Also my AHC isn't liking the amount of weight in my truck and will drop into low. I'm thinking if there is a place that can throw some air bags to make it home, I'd be ok.

The irony is that I have the Kings springs sitting at my house right now.

For tires, my parents have been very happy with the Discount Tire in Canon City. There should be lots of options for air bags in Colorado Springs. But there is a cruiser shop in Salida which is owned by a member on here. Classic Cruisers.

Thanks for all the input guys! I think I'm going to try about 4 turns on the torsion bars. Calling around to find a place with the tire in stock.

Well @aaronrules, did you get everything figured out?

Red Line Cruisers are in Colorado Springs, there is also a 4x4 shop that does good work called Predator 4x4 in the springs that I am sure can do the install for you of the tire and or air bags. Sorry for your trouble, these things can make a road trip less fun.

Getting the tire done in Canon City today. I think I will see how it goes with the AHC. We can some drop some weight in the fridge since we will be driving home. I will fix it all with the Kings springs sensor lift that have sitting at my house right now.
