Hey Colorado 60 owners out there!
It's time to clear out the shop of all my left over parts and pieces from my 1987 Fj60 makeover.
This Saturday 1/27 I'm going to host an open shop in Golden and anyone who wants to swing in and take a look at what I have please come by. Anything left at the end of the day is going in the dumpster so if you are interested in anything let me know and I will give you the address. At this point I am in a hurry to empty the shop of all of this so am willing to take the best offer (even if it's free!)
I've got the following:
The truck had 148,000 miles on it before pulling the original components...
4-16"x8" Rims mounted with trashed tires (bolt pattern matches but not sure on offset)
A bunch of different smog components from my original de-smog
A new (less than 500 miles) starter
Re-surfaced fly wheel and new clutch disc
Pretty new alternator
Carb fan (worked before taking it out)
Air cleaner housing
Original Dizzy
Original Carb (needs a good cleaning but functioned fine when removed)
Original Air pump
H42 Transmission, original and not rebuilt. It worked just fine before swapping out to the H55f
2F engine, rebuildable but I went with a V8 instead. Was running somewhat low compression before I pulled it. (1: 105, 2: 105, 3: 109, 4: 105, 5: 105, 6: 112) Wet testing raised all the numbers by about 4-5 psi. Symptoms pointed to piston rings but I didn't dig in to find out.
As mentioned above, if it's still there by the end of the day Saturday its gonna go in the trash. I hate to see any of this stuff go that route but don't have the time, energy, or space to keep it around and try to find takers. So hopefully some of you folks out there will swing by on Saturday and take some of this stuff with ya!
