Looking to purchase a 2000 Land Cruiser. The one Iam looking at has the bottom of the rocker painted to match the door moulding and the bumpers. Also the portion below the doors, and above the running board is color matched, but it seems to be a bed liner or rubber material.

I have not seen this option - was it a dealer add on? I know the flairs are dealer installed.

Can any one shed some light on this?

The rockers, below the doors are factory painted in a PVC Chipping paint. At least that is what the repair manual calls it. I would say "PVC anti-chipping" paint. The bottom of the doors, below the mouldings are painted with a anti-chipping paint. My rockers have a textured surface from I assume is the PVC anti-chipping paint.

Hope this helps.

The second pic is the factory finish... which does have the special paint on the lower panels. Has a bit of a wrinkly finish. The first pic is common with 100's that were distributed Gulf State Toyota (not owned by Toyota). The painted lowers, fender flares and a few other items were distributor installed.... like non-factory leather.

Just bought my 100, is it sporting LX Seats?
