Color keyed spoiler

Really got tired of my spoiler looking faded & spotty, so I took it off and painted it. Pretty simple, 4 torx screws, primer, paint. Here's a side by side with an identical cruiser that still has the black spoiler.

I know a lot of you guys don't care for the spoiler at all, but it sure keeps my back window a lot cleaner than without.

Time: 30 minutes (mostly primer & paint drying)

I like that, it looks really good. I've been thinking of painting mine to match the gray trim of the bumpers and other misc. trim pieces. Good job. It would look kinda cool if you painted the roof rack and the emblems all the same color. I've never seen that done on a cruiser but it may turn out nice. If you don't like the look, you could always replace with the chrome emblems.

That is a definite improvement ! Looks like what the factory should have done to start with. I like that color 100 too, it's rare to see that one.

My wife and I are currently arguing over the roof rack. I'm also very interested to see what it would look like w/ the rack & emblems color matched; she thinks the black brush guard would look awkward w/out the black roof rack to complement it. Unfortunately, she is the boss of how the vehicles look. I get to pick 'em, she gets to decide what they look like. That being said, I KNOW no one here likes gold emblems. =P

tad, funny thing is about this color, it's the only color you can buy at the houston auctions. almost all auction cruisers here are bought by exporters, and burgundy is the one color that neither the russians, chinese, or middle easterns care for.

If I'm not mistaken, that factory doesn't install the spoiler, the monkeys at the port of entry drill it in place.
