Coleman tent door zipper fix? (1 Viewer)

We have a perfectly good Coleman 6 person tent, except the zipper doesn’t work. It was bought last year, is there a fix for these things? Or is it time for a better tent? If so, which one? We also have a Cabelas 4 season tent with aluminum poles, about $480 eight years ago. We don’t want to wear out this tent using it all the time.

@Big Ed , yes there's a fix. it's called a new zipper.
i'd believe any good seamstress, tailor or tarp shop should be able replace the broken one with no great ado

Saw this already. The zipper is the problem, not the slider.

Here’s my fix, got a different brand. The tent place wanted about 2-1/2 times the cost of the tent just to replace the zipper. We already used this once, we like it.

Not for @Big Ed as he already replaced his tent. But just today I fixed my zipper using FixnZip. It was a 3 minute fix. This was on a HD Orvis canvas bag.

I had poured over a ton of YouTube videos & spent several hours trying to ‘fix’ the zipper using their advice. No good. Decided to give FixnZip a try. Like I say…a 3 minute fix. Mine was the slider that was the issue.
