Hey guys,

I was wandering if you guys can explain to me what the advantages of adding coil springs are. I'm kind of new to the LC world but you guys have been a great help with all my questions so far. I have an '84 FJ60 which I purchased last year and have been slowly rebuilding. I'm almost done with all the mechanical rebuilds and will be tackling suspension upgrades next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Coil's generally ride smoother, are lighter, and easier to lift a vehicle that has coil springs.

Con's. On the 60/62 series they require a lot of custom fab work to make them work correctly.

And what is SOA and its advantages?

SOA=good flex and good ride+6inches of lift.

COILS=awesome fawkin 60 or would it be 80 with a 2f? I plan on fabbing up 4-link and coil overs by the time my post count hit 4,000

P.S. check tech section for info on SOA.
