My saw's work great..

I will go over and have a look.

By the way I like your sig picture, can you post up a couple of shots?

foxes are a bit on the light side for a cruiser.

not only that, but you'll find quite a few competitors have switched back to coilovers for competition use....they are overall a nice setup and priced right, but they are not as easily tunable as regular coilovers.

If you rig weights 3500# or less, it's a FoxAir candidate...most Cruisers do not.

Bilsteins with Eibach coil springs are on my junk.

Rob, I would go with Sway Away, or Kings.

I'm thinking of making a 4 link mod to my crusier, but I'm not sure about the coilovers. I've noticed alot of memory and uncontroled cab lean in the coilovers. Has anyone had any luck with a 1/4 eliptical?? How do the two compare??

Thanks for the info,

SD

from a balance standpoint, I'm really happy with my 1/4 elliptical setup. Price is right too, but it does take more engineering time.

I've got a thread on it in this section somewheres...lol

More engineering time? Because the leaf pack and the link need to be almost in the same attachment point to the frame?? I'll check your thread, you have probably have already answered these questions. My bad. What about the memory and cab lean?? I followed someone with coilovers in Moab, and I noticed alot of cab lean. When I drove over the same obstical with SOA and revolvers it seemed my cruiser was balanced a little better. The coilovers and 1/4 eliptical do much better on flexability and that's what I'm after.
Woody, is it symptomatic of 1/4 elip to break your pinion on rockpile?? Quick fix, nice work!!

:flipoff2: lol

Engineering time as in fab time....not just tabs and a mount hoop, but mounts at the frame side for the packs and more experimentatino in mounting...plus space issues.

IMO, my lean is all but gone and my road handlnig is WAY nicer than SOA. With my new Bilsteins, I should be even better on the trails. Plus, a cryo pinion (with a fine spline in case that bombs too...lol)

Sweet, that is good to know road handling is better than SOA!! I was kinda worried about that. I'm after more flexy out of the back. Sounds like the fab time is long and trial and error. Any words of wizdom??? Did you set the axle on stands, level the frame and start mocking up the 4 link?? If you did it again you would________before you did that??

thanks,

SD

anyone got pics or info on a fj60 with 4-link??? ive only saw one...

I aways thought that would be awesome...it would wheel like an 80 but look kick ass like a 60...

....maybe someday

I was under my truck today fixin the tow in. And it din"t look (righhhhtt)ALL that hard to do coil over on the 60.Maybe 3 link in the front and 4 link in the rear, Off the top of my head you'd just have to fab up coil towers, links and places to contect them. I'm prob forgeting a lot.... any ideas??

just some blue skying...... :bounce:

No that pretty much covers it.

Course, it is not that easy..

Haha, I hope I don't start ordering parts...
