The second Saturday of August is the 8th, which is during the Ouray trip so lets shoot for the 15th. I'll post a thread when the time gets closer.

Thanks for taking care of things Larry, sounds like some good runs coming up.

I would also like to extend an invitation to the North Baldy run for those that are not going to be able to make Ouray trip. It will be on August 8th and I will most likely make a day trip out of it

Dang, wondered of this was on your list. I'll be in Silverton so maybe hit baldy again in late Aug or Sept

Are you going? 35's, a winch and lockers will get you though almost all of it. Not counting the body damage of course
I plan to go, not sure which truck will go or what trails but really want to get down there

Had a nice turn out for our July 18th coffee. Here are some notes:

There was interest in doing a club run to Blanca Peak August 29th – 30th. As I understand it, this is a moderate to extreme trail for stock vehicles and I am excited to see if my Warn 9.5X still functions. The idea is to arrive Friday evening, camp I guess, so that we can get an early start first thing Saturday morning the 29th. We would take the trail to the lake, tent camp overnight (I was told to bring pop tarts – no glamping) and then return Sunday. Terrill/Grant/Ali – can you guys post up that topic? It was also suggested that we reach out to the Rising Sun boyz to see if they had any plans to be around that area during our run.

I don't think Aug 29 weekend is gonna work on my end, unless I can get winch bumpers assembled and front locker squared away by then. I was thinking late September

I could be in for this one. I can have the 40 ready in that time. shouldn't be too cold yet then. I ran it in 2008. there's some pics in this thread from the trip. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/mt-blanca-finally.239831/

What do you think Shawn, is it 4Runner friendly? Looks like a great trail!

 I assume you are joking. it is a fun trail though. your 40 would do it for sure.

LOLCI yeah joking...couldn't tell from the pics I found. I can find pics of everything from buggies on their side to mildly built wranglers. A few 3rd Gen 4Runners and FJCs on 33s...winching

Well if the NV4500 was in the FJ it might be an option but a V8, stock gears and 35s aren't ideal for "crawling"...it's more of a shot first and ask later approach and I do need some clutch left to get home with. Perhaps an empty seat;)

we should start a new thread for this. stand by...
