Nice to find a local board with some good info.

I am having some trouble locating a source for CO2 fill in the North Valley. Around Cactus and I-17. I just got a Powertank, so I need somewhere that will fill while you wait and not have to exchange tanks or send it away.

Anyone else know of places to fill in my area?

- thanks

Do you know what the cost is for 20 lbs of CO2 in your own tank ?

up here in Flag ( extinguisher place) they charge 28.00 for a fill up :(

My 10# tank is around $14 and I get 4 fills from 12 to 30psi in my 35x12.50 MTR's... time for a york.

Better call them though- I've always done the exchange thing with welding supplies.

I pay $14 for a refill on my 10# tank at United Fire here in Tucson. They are a firemans supply house, uniforms, boots, extinguishers and that kinda stuff. They're the best place to go here cause they don't do Co2 on a schedule like the welding places do. I tried a couple welding places and they only do Co2 at certain times and if you missed it it'll be another day or 2 for a refill.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I'll check into Praxair for a CO2 refill. I have a 10# tank, so we'll see if they do that and for how much.

Epic Ed........ Elvota is everywhere........ :flipoff2:

Well it's Scottsdale but I seem to remember filling my Powertank for around $12-$14 easy...

Go around the back. They charge for CO2 by the pound.

Aidant Fire was on my way to work today so got it filled there. Current rate is $20.24 for a 10# tank... but the same cost would apply to fill a 15 and 20# tank as well. Probably not the cheapest in town but they did fill it in 1/2 and hour. Just dropped it off and came back. Just in case anyone is interested.
