Cool site. I was thinking this the other day since the Aug trip was being posted.
This year was interesting, for the SW corner (Ouray, Silverton, Durango) not as much snow as last year but the temps were way colder. In the past few weeks it has remained cold and has only heated up this last week with an expected drop again.
The high mountains are still getting regular snow and Ophir (outside Telluride) had 2 feet of fresh powder last week. You can count on the Red Mountain areas to have plenty of snow until late June and Early July.
Its gonna be a while before you can cross over the passes. Deceiving because the lower areas have lost all their snow.
