Do we have any CNC machining folks in the club?

Been in contact with a MUD member that put together an intercooler kit for the SC. He hasn't done it in yrs, but said he'll do it for me. Only "problem" is he doesn't have the flange adaptor anymore.

He sent me the drawing and measurements.

*This is not an emergency or that important. . More of just a want*

CNC is overrated for one-off jobs. It's no more accurate than manual milling or turning, it's just faster the more parts you crank out.

I used to think that, but I don't believe it anymore.

I can make a bracket templated off a gasket by hand in 30-45 min probably. With the Cnc, it takes 5-10 min to design, then 5 min to set up the machine, and 1 min to cut. So 15min vs 30+ min. Cnc wins every time.

Which CNC did you you get? I'm looking at Fadal's.

I have a Cnc plasma table, so not nearly as fancy as a fadal, but it definitely speeds up work. Langmuir Systems Crossfire pro. Fusion 360 for cad/cam and Langmuir FireControl for the machine control.
