does the new campground has a field that everyone camps at, or is it separate camp sites.

Whooo Hooo!!

It is not a "field", but a common area all the way in the rear of the property. It is a tree covered remote area accessible by dirt roads. On their map: http://www.twingrove.com/media/campgroundlayout2010.pdf
it would be in the top right open area.
It is primitive camping and the brand new bath/shower/laundry building is about 200 yards away.

Spend some time poking around their website. It pretty freakin' nice. Not as majestic as Field and Forest but Wednesday night is crab leg night.

sweet. that place looks great.

so who's going to this? ive never attended but i was thinking about attending this year with a stock 60. do they have trails for stock vehicles or just mostly hardcore trails?

Bob (rain76king) and I will be attending. My understanding is that there is terrain available for everyone.

I'll be there. this will be my six year attending. its one of the best Toyota events in the east.
rausch creek has trails for every vehicle level. there is a lot of stock and intermediate trails. definitely worth going to. Hope to see u there.

a caravan would be neat, but when are you guys planning on leaving? i was going to leave at noon on Friday, isnt the last day Saturday?

I'm leaving early wednesday morning.
Hope I don't break an axle.

ya i dont think going for 1 day will be worth it, im going to try to leave Thurs.

ill be leaving Wednesday morning. my brother is also coming so we will have 2 trucks.i always take95 to 287 to 80 to 81. i know a lot of people from up north take 84 to 81. but caravan would be sweet.

i drive slow, around 50-55 anyways, i would be the stragler of the group. im now thinking i could leave Wed morning and return Sat. that can be a possibility.

those of you who have attended before, are there vendors present there? any swap meets?

All vendors are welcome.

Iron Pig and Camel4x4 are usually there. Other vendors have been there and set up a booth or demo.

Swap meet is not formal. Swapping goes on, but generally if someone has something they want to swap it is arranged beforehand.

Anyone who is definitely coming, try to register soon so we can get an accurate shirt/dinner count.
