Howdy! I can tell already that Ross is going to look a little peaked by then. Must be some of that nasty 5 - 10 day flu going around. Shouldn't be around your students with that!! John

I think the event always ends 1st weekend of may.The puropse of posting 8 months in advance is to allow planning - and we still expect attriton. The last 2 yrs., the pre-run has been the best partam It makes the event anti-climactic.

Ross - you know the whole trip is a great geology field trip. Plan it that way!

I'll know more in a about 4 months what things are going to look like. Believe me I'd love to get a sub. My UofA class is not a big deal. I can call in all sorts of favors. The community college classes are the problem. Why I said I'd fill in this year is beyond me.

I do know that I will not be registering. If I go I will be part of the "outlaw" crowd.

I put in for vacation yesterday - they must think I'm nuts, but my vacation almost got cancelled in 2007until they realized I requested it in October of 2006
