I am rebuilding my clutch master unit and I am having trouvle removing the resevoir. I can see a nut inside of the resevoir. does this have to be removed first?

Sure does. I think that it's a 19mm. Stick the unit in a vise if ya got one to hold the master cylinder tight while you crank on that nut. I didn't have a vise so I used my impact gun on a medium setting. There is a gasket under the resevoir, so don't lose that. Check to see if it's worn out. Mine looked kinda old, but not too bad, so I reused it and it works fine.

Why did you not just get a new unit? They are surprisingly inexpensive.
