So to start, I have a 2000 4Runner SR5 5-speed and have been having issues recently with the clutch when starting the truck. I push the clutch in to start the vehicle and nothing happens. I am able to start the truck with the clutch start cancel button and it drives and shifts normally. I am assuming that there is some sort of clutch sensor that recognizes when the clutch is engaged and allows the truck to start. I have searched on here a bit and mainly come across people discussing the sensor being bent and not engaging when the clutch pedal is pressed. I have not verified whether this is the case, but was wondering if any other people have had the same issue and if so, what they did to fix it. I am hoping that I don't have to replace the sensor, but if I do, does anyone know how difficult that would be? Does anyone have any pictures of the stock sensor placement so that I can check whether it is bent? Thanks in advance for any hints or advice.
