I add +/- 2 OZ of fluid in the clutch master reservoir each week. It does not seem to have of leak at the master nor at the slave. The liquid literally seems to disappear. On the other hand, it does not seem to have fluid on the firewall inside the truck. Someone has idea where to start.

Although you've yet to find it, something IS leaking. Check the hose from end to end carefully after cleaning it.

I suspect the master cylinder is leaking through the bore, into the firewall opening.

Toyota tell me the clutch master parts (master and rebuilt kit) are specific for the BJ70. Is that true ? Is there any cross reference possibility ? (HJ60, FJ60, BJ60 ???) (w/booster)

Parts of it are specific. The base of the BJ70 booster is different from the base of the BJ60 or HJ60 booster. The booster itself is the same, and I think the master cylinders are interchangable. The slaves are not (70 series slave has the fluid intake at a different angle than 60 series slave). The line going into the slave is the same.
the booster is insanely expensive...

I have no worthy info...

I would get a new master and the paper gasket between the master and the booster. That is, as long as you don't see any leaking in the drums. That's somewhat common too. I'd pull the rear drums to be sure the wheel cyl don't have a slow weep that you can't see.

You talk about clutch or brake ?

My problem is about the clutch.

I think we are all talking clutch :)

edit: clutch cylinder could still leak into clutch booster, and you would not see anything on the firewall.

Mine was leaking inside the cab, check where the pin is going throught the fire wall.

EDIT: i should of read your whole sentence, now i know you already checked the firewall.

My bad.. long day.. even longer nights lately.

Jan, Tapage, I will check all that soon.

Thank you all.

wesintl : good night ! ;)

My BJ70 doesn't have a clutch booster, not all of them do. The fact of the matter is that 2oz/week is a lot of oil, and it has to be somewhere, either flying off the slave cylinder or leaking down the inside or outside face of the firewall.

If I recall from when I rebuilt my master (the rebuild kit is cheap), the firewall is sort of "doubled" at the hole where the actuator rod passes through, the fluid could be working its way down into the nether regions of the cabin.

Taking the master cylinder off and inspecting the bore would quickly tell you if the seal is leaking, there would be oil everywhere.

My BJ70 doesn't have a clutch booster,

You sure your BJ70 doesn't have the clutch booster on the inside of the firewall up under the dash ala BJ74s etc?

Now, the "dumb" question of the day !

Now, the "dumb" question of the day ! :D

I have the rebuilt kit. The factory manual talk about : lithium soap base glycol grease ?

What is a lithium soap base glycol grease ?

Is it a simple lithum grease ? White grease ?

At the price I paid the rebuilt, I ask Toyota to give me the grease... and they did !!

It's a kind of red/pink grease in a little pack from a other rebuilt kit they open for me.

Good service !

David,
Let us know how it goes for you. I'm having a similar experience with my FJ62 brake fluid. Over the past several months, I've slowly lost fluid to where the brake light comes on after a month or so. Can't find any leaks though. Guess it's time for a new Master Cylinder.
