It looks like the Cruiser Days that used to happen every year is once again going to be a reality this summer...and I'm excited that our Club is going to be hosting it.

I do need some volunteers from our Club to help with the event. Some of the preliminary positions that need people are:

1) Security/Host - Probably need at least three people to do this. Basically, these people will direct traffic to the appropriate areas and point people to the right direction. I'm thinking that a large portion of the parking lot will be designated for everyone who brings in a Cruiser to park and show their rig. There will be a portion of the lot that will be designated for vendors to show their wares. There will also be a smaller portion that will be reserved for general parking for people who have small children, handicap, etc.

2) Ticket/T-shirt Sales - Probably need one or two people for this. As the job description states, these people will be in charge of the raffle ticket sales as well as the T-shirt sales.

3) Sound System Guru - Phil? :D

4) More positions to be posted as they come up. Suggestions welcome.

If you have the day off (we should try to have a strong turnout from our Club), and are interested, please post your intentions on this thread. All help is greatly appreciated. I know that a lot of people are looking forward to this show, including me.

Lindsay and I will be able to do the t-shirt sales and ticket sales. This is awsome that the show is a go. lookin forward to see the rigs. :bounce: :bounce2:

Thanks, guys!

GREAT NEWS! Just received the confirmation from the Surrey School Board...we have the parking lot at North Surrey Secondary booked for August 13th! So it is 100% a "GO" now...it's going to happen.:D

Stone,
Count me in on any help you need the day of, I will probably drive in a day before, stay for the day, and then head back up the following day.
Cheers,
Deny

We need to get more volunteers going for this event. It's a Club event after all, and we want a strong membership presence to host our guests and make a good impression. Deny is coming all the way from the Peace Country to be part of this event...surely more of us local folks can also pitch in.

I'm not going to call the club by their nick name,
But the Coastal Cruisers are a pretty relaxed bunch, as you can see that not too many head out to wheel very often, lots of busy guys  . I am sure that most will show up that day, and will be willing to lend a hand. If not, I am sure they will atleast offer suggestions of how to do it right :D
You might want to phone around some of the people that are not on the list, I know lazy bastard Derek, doesn't have internet at his new place, and would probably help out. I haven't seen gar on the list for a while too!
Cheers,
Deny

Yes...G&S will help in any way we can while being vendors and having a table.

Stone, do you recall the list of who volunteered for what from last nights meeting?

gb

Gar & Dan M. - Trail Guides

Traci, Bill - Shirt/ticket sales

Chels, Rob Millson - Volunteer grunts day of the event :D

Jim - Shirt production

Derek - Outhouse duty :D :D

Phil - Grunt work as well as offering use of his cube van if needed

Probably others that I've missed...but I'm super tires from a busy shift at the Surrey Hilton (aka SMH) and we're leaving early tomorrow for a camping trip to the Interior.

If I've missed you...kindly just post here please. And a big THANKS to all those who have already stepped up to the plate to make this event happen.

Stone,
Although I was not at the meeting, I did volunteer earlier, so just pick a spot you need filled, and I can do it.
Cheers,
Deny

Of course...sorry I forgot to add you in there, Deny. But I knew that you were coming. Cheers.

Looking forward to that trip report and pics...:D

I ordered the shirts

Total cost ended up being $9.09 per shirt with the art and screen, and tax charges.
Maybe some discussion on what to sell them for? $10, $12 (will need lots of change) , $ 13 (lucky), $15, $20 (If we want to make some big  )

I will ask them about pricing if we need to order more later ( I got 150)

There was also some discusion on Dash placks, they can make them also, but they have to do diferent art or some thing so it would probably be some what pricy, I not a big fan of them, might be something for next year.

Jim

Who actually has dash plaques on their vehicle? What is the point, no one ever looks inside, except passengers.

Well...i have 2 inside my 45. A TLCA one.. and my 4WDABC 'Four Wheeler of the Year' one :grinpimp:

And my seldom used roller toolbox is adorned with the rest of them.

But yah...I'd much prefer shirts or jackets..or stickers.
