CLUB SEAL POLL (made easier)

We are only trying to determine what picture (Kief's or front end) and background at this point. We HAVE concluded we are using a FJ40 and black & gold colors only. I am trying to narrow it down step by step. And it appears we are leaning towards Kief's drawing of a topless 40 and the mountain in the back. Next we will decide on the font and placement of the "X"s and wrap it up.

If we aren't in agreement on a 40 and black & gold at this point then by all means start this all over and we will shoot for logos next year.

I think your about right on this.
There is still alot of work for the text, XX's, and some other things but this is just the center picture.

I'm looking and failing to see where it was voted on to use a 40. A 60, 80, or even (to some I suppose ) FJ is as much a valid option as a 40.

Granted the 60 is butt ugly, the 80 is probably too pretty/soccer-momish, and the FJ is....well.....the FJ.....but neither are they likely to get mistaken for a Jeep to the casual person.

I personally have no problems with going with a 40, but at the same time I was not aware that it had been decided on by the "powers from on high".

I did see a suggestion early on that I'd liked about having one for each model of cruiser.

Actually if we have several that are identicle with the exception of the middle part, it's pretty easy to have it randomly pull up a seal for that box.

I think this got rushed off the bat because we wanted to get advertising out (IE stickers on rigs). We wanted to make a first batch but then we realized that we needed to decide what to put on it.

Thats my point. We need to decide something for that "official" stuff.

I could take one of the pictures of my Yota pickup and throw it in the center of the seal , in front of the mountain. Have it printed and put it on my rig. We could all do something like that if we wanted to.

pretty good point that we are not even a "real club" at this point, as the sign up sheet just was made.
Maybe an executive BOD decision (re: preliminary club seal) needs made that can be discussed and voted on by paid members in the near future?

Technically I don't think that that many clubs have sign up sheets (especially in their first year). If anything I think we are more official than many. Have ByLaws done, Signup sheet done, website in process (can't ever really be "done"), Club Seal in process.

Just going over the votes on what was originally thrown out there. Black and Gold was the consensus over color and the original ideas were a 40.

Personally I think we should just put it to the BOD and get it done. Down the road people can vote to change it if they want.

I concur, lets make a "seal V.1.0" for now and get on with it. we can always iron out the details as we go on.

Words of wisdom don't come up with new ideas around here unless you make them sound really bad (let someone else make it sound good). You should have seen how our [strike]fearful[/strike]fearless leaders were selected. Thank God they didn't try to fight it, LoL. ; P

I saw a lifted '80 today that was itching for a club to join, wished I had time to stop and expound on the virtues of the JSC and thought a flier (flyer?) would be cool to have; so I guess I got volunteered.

I can start a topic on what you guys think, I'm guessing that not much will get printed up quickly, but I'll get some ideas and draft something quick and dirty for further discussion.

I'll go with the topic: "how to make friends and influence toyota drivers"
