Imitation is the highest form of flattery and after seeing the awesomeness that went down on 2024 Relic Run we decided that the last club ride of the 2025 season should be:

I missed this ride last year, so Im in for a good time on the trails.

I'm in!

Not trying scare anyone but I just had a blast up there this weekend. A few highlights.
The hills were pretty tore up. Worst then last year. You guys should be fine. We were behind 15 jOops and bruncos because the trail riders crew was also there this weekend.
The mud is mud. We were able to navigate the muddy patches. Some routes were worse than others but you guys can figure it out. Bring muck boots. Sunset was pretty awesome. But it was cold that night and woke up to thiccc fog. Between the rover getting stuck in the mud because he decided to find his own line and my brothers Nissan losing his brake booster and first gear, we had a fun experience.

But seriously don’t let this keep you from going it’s easy peasy.

I also don’t think there are any fish in the reservoir but I also have no idea what I’m talking about

Looks like a sloppy good time.
Breaking and getting stuck just makes the story that much better!

Awesome, thanks for the intel @ttFJC !
Will bring winch extension, maxx trax and muck boots are a good recommendation.

Do you think the tundra can make it? I got my new bumpers with recovery points but the guy who reviewed the trail on OnX said this "This trail is not recommended for full size trucks". Any idea why that is part of the review (too narrow, short trees, etc.)? Thanks!

its pretty narrow in spots. i defiantly was sneaking in between and under trees. my brother nailed a tree with the bullbar. Part of the problem is ya cant see the dang ol trees because the windows are covered in mud. @elkun1 should post a picture of the tree in his windshield. i think it was on this trail

Also saw a full sized avalanche chevy with an adventure trailer out there and they beet us out on Sunday so there's that. there were a couple of full sized rigs with the trailriders group. i guess it depends on if your worried about body damage. its a definite maybe.

expect to get mud in everything. i spent 2 hours at the pressure washer yesterday

Do you think I’ll have lots of issues getting stuck in my 4Runner? I know I don’t have the greatest clearance and I’m undecided if it would be worth it to go or not. It looks super fun tho otherwise!

everyone was stuck at some point when we did it. i mean like your 4 runner could make it im sure but the one hill was pretty tore up. there are lots of rocks to stack.

i have a couple of videos of the rover making it up the hill.. hes on a light lift and 33s. maybe slightly worse then up at cooke city except the rocks were slick, and theres a banger hiding in one of the water crossings.

but dont let me scare all you guys off

johnson lake trail was where i injected the limb into the windshield. as far as worrying about getting stuck if it's wet everyone will probably need a tug so don't worry about it. just make sure you have good attach points front and back. as far as full size i'm not one to comment. i personally wouldn't be concerned but anymore i don't get concerned about much. this is probably the best trail in the area due to the variety of challenges but nothing extreme and you're rewarded with sand beach at the end. also, as usual there should be a chainsaw in the group. this is one not to miss

I'm in, trask will be taggin in his new 1st gen pu on little tires lol. I need to get him a membership, i just got back from wyoming so missed the annual bash. fill me in on sat on how to get him in. see ya then

My 40 has 31s and open diffs. I made it to the reservoir. I think I used the winch once and got a tug once.

We are going and will camp up there Friday night. Any suggestions on where we should stay? IS there a designated meetup spot on Pipestone somewhere? Perhaps Delmo Lake?

I believe we are meeting at the four corners 9am in pipestone. Where the bathroom is and the cut off to ringing rocks.
