There is a possibility of a ride down the Alapaha on June 25. Two weeks from today. Would anyone be interested? I’d like to host a ride and contribute where I can. I will say, there is a high chance that there will be recovery situations along with beautiful scenery you won’t see anywhere else!

I’m in. 😊

It looks like we have enough interest to make this a group event. Saturday June 25 at 10AM, we will meet at the Busy Bee truck stop at Florida Exit 460 on I-75. From there it’s about a 10 minute drive to the Alapaha riverbed. This will be an all day ride, I would recommend bringing a cooler with drinks and a trail lunch. Once you drop into the riverbed, you’re there, there is only one entry/exit point. We should finish both the north and south end by 4-4:30 in the afternoon.

Be prepared to air down for the sand and also bring recovery gear just in case.

Meeting Location: 8191 FL-6 West, Jasper, FL 32052

Riverbed Access: 4768, US Hwy 41, Jasper, FL 32052

Sounds pretty rad. Unfortunately I’ll be back on call that weekend. Having bad luck with these events and other commitments lately.

Make sure to share some pics on here. Never hear of this place before.

Watched a couple of YouTube videos on the Alapaha River. I‘m looking forward to seeing it in person.
Hope to see you there. 😊

Hopefully by now everyone has gotten a personal invitation via email. Hope to see you there. 😊

Although its still several months away, ALL of our club members are invited to the “7th Annual 70 Series Meet & Greet” at Windrock Park on 9/22-25. Owning a 70 Series isn’t necessary to attend (owning a Land Cruiser is 😊).
In the interest of community harmony, we allow one Jeep and that spot is already taken. 😁
** Lee will be the guest speaker on Saturday night. 😁

Update on Saturdays ride.

Hotdogs, hamburgers, and chips will be provided. A grill will be provided for cooking as well. Please bring your own cooler with ice and drinks of your choice. We still plan to meet at the Busy Bee truck stop at 10AM. It is right off exit 460 on I-75. I would highly recommend airing down your tires, the sand is pretty deep at points. Sunscreen and sunglasses are also recommended. Hope to see you folks there, should be a blast!

As mentioned on our Facebook page, I you plan to attend make sure Sayer knows via this thread.
Accurate numbers are important. 😊

Although there‘s no denying it’s Summer in the south, it looks like we’ll get a break from the worst of it on Saturday with somewhat reduced afternoon temps. 😊

No joke. This 100° mess in June is for the birds!

An outstanding event today. A special thanks to Sayer for hosting. (A few photos)
