Let's have a breakfast get-together in the parking lot at The Daily Grind on Saturday February 15th, 9 AM (every 3rd Saturday of the month)

Daily Grind: 4360 Cutler Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110

Like last time, lets start off by having breakfast then we will head back over to the parking lot to enjoy some truck talk.

I was in Durango during this meeting. Got stuck on the ice going uphill in a terrible parking lot at the hot springs with my girlfriend. Almost slid back into a Wrangler, an F-150, and another sedan. There was maybe 2 feet from my rear bumper to the other cars. Dug out the snow and pull the traction boards off the roof and made a little progress until I began sliding downhill again. What saved my skin was a fellow off-roader who walked by and brought his Gladiator downhill to winch me off of my tow strap.

It was the sort of precarious recovery where there are no photos of the event, because we needed to get the hell out of that situation. She was impressed with how I made it seem like no big deal. The reality...I was throwing solutions at the problem, it wasn't working, and I was wearing Vans in the snow. Pucker Factor: 5,000/5,000.

Picture is from Purgatory that afternoon. See you guys real soon.
