If we wanted to get a quote on getting our logo turned into a emblem/badge for the back of our rigs where would we go? I tried to message this guy in the blue forum who sourced someone to make a design he came up with. Looks like they've done a different badge every year the last few years. Jerome messaged me this morning saying he saw a California club making their logo into a badge and thought it was a good idea, I think it is as well just need to find a company we can submit a high res photo of our logo to so we can get some quotes :)

From what I understand, the expense will not be in having the badges made, but rather the mold for them. I did advertising for a guy a few years back that had plastic injection-molded items made and the mold ran about $10,000 and then the items (single color) were only about a buck a piece.

well we don`t need a special mold just a cover print.might make a difference if we use a std badge shape.

Well maybe that's over our head :(

I guess the next best thing would be a color print on a metal base and thick layer of clear epoxy sealing and binding it to the backing.

Pretty sure this is what the guys on the blue room do. I remember someone having a batch made and there were some problems with the clear epoxy. The vendor screwed it up if I remember. The guys running the Summit get badges made every year I believe. Also, what about contacting Jennifer to see what the TLCA did? And I will ask around. One of the LLK guys was supposed to be looking into badges a while back. I will see if I can figure out who it was and what they found.

thanks Mlke:)

X2, thanks Mike. I'll start with Jennifer for a contact and see where that takes us. I was searching for companies last night that do them with epoxy but didn't come up with anything just some DIY stuff.

I have two leads with emails out to both hopefully I'll hear something back :)

Option 1 would cost $32 per badge a min order of 40 required. That's with a 1 time $250 mold charge absorbed in that price. Each badge after the 40 is gone would be $25. Not bad :)

My dad does molds and custom products he has access to a 3d printer and 3d molding I will call him an talk to him about it. I will be at the BBQ this weekend we can talk more about it then. It might be our best bet he is always looking for new products to showcase to other customers. He can also have things laser cut also out of all kinds of material plastic and stainless steel anything.

Awesome, sounds great look forward to seeing you at the BBQ too :) Cheers!

If any body has any examples of other clubs badges post some pictures. That would kHz be really helpfully

Will get you some, I can also email you a high res .jpg of our logo. Was thinking 4 inch circle with our club logo and can use 3M double sided tape to put on. I also have a sample coming in of one of these next week :)
