As of right now Dealer Alternative will no longer be open. I truly appreciate all of Yall and the support of the cruiser family. In the meantime my number is still the same don't hesitate to call or text. I will post more information as soon as I can secure a new location.

Thanks

Rob Wilder

so this is location issues?....not business right....cause there is like 30 million hours worth of cruiser work in your shop last I checked!

Sorry to hear that this chapter is closing, but you are extremely gifted and will bounce forward into a positive situation in a new location. Best of luck and, as you know, I will be happy to help you navigate any legal issues/concerns as you transition.

Best of luck with future plans, locations, etc..

If anyone doesn't feel like moving their 40 to a new (non-free) storage location and wants to let it go, I may have someone looking for a farm rig.

What happened? You had tons of trucks in the shop last time I was there? Just moving?

Thanks for the kind words. Long story short, deal on new building fell through and the one I'm in is supposily sold. Went from wide open normal business on Wednesday morning to mad dash to be out by the weekend. I'm hanging up the idea of reopening for now and going to get a "normal" job. I've been working 70-80hour weeks since April 2014. A 45hr week will seem like a vacation. I'm convinced that my wife and kids don't even know what I look like anymore. I'm going back to what I know, used car business. Will be starting back at CIA in a couple hours. The vehicles that I currently have will be finished out there by me. Final pic of what used to be Dealer Alternative. I just finished mopping all 8000sqft.

This makes me sad but you gotta do what you think is best. Keep your chin up. You have more guts than most of us out here...

Ranco going in there?

Sorry to hear this. You do great work!

Man that sucks, although I'm guessing you will enjoy going back to normal hours.

Sorry to hear it Rob! DNP can help find a new location when you are ready. Then hire more staff and raise your prices!
"Specialists" are worth the money!

^ This. Raise em to where you can work less hours for the same pay. Was really hard to make the call to raise our prices a few years ago... BUT best thing we ever did.

One of the hardest things in business is raising prices. That being said every time I adjust my labor rate I ask myself why I didn't do it months before. You guys are right in the fact that Rob is a specialist and can command a higher price. But price is just one part of the puzzle in this business like every business.

The only business I know is tire/service store but it is a very unforgiving business. So many things to KILL your profits. I am sure its the same lawyering, I.T.ing, plumbing and everything else.

So many factors get in the way.

Rob you have got so much knowledge and talent. I have no doubt you will find your fit when you get back on your feet. Hate this went the way it did.
