where is the closest place (to cincinnati) that i can go on some offroad trails. Not even for like an all day deal, just a little here and there.

There's probably closer stuff, but from cincy it's a relatively short drive (2hrs?) to Natural Bridge, KY.
Badlands in IN (about 3.5 hours northwest from you) isn't bad for some more "organized" activities.
