Has anyone replaced their clock spring. I’m Surprised mine went out at 41k miles (2015 GX). I haven’t taken it to get looked at yet but I’m pretty sure I’m diagnosing it right.

Here are the symptoms:
1. None of the steering wheel buttons work
2. Horn is INOP
3. Cruise control INOP

***No ABS or traction control lights are on.

Does the airbag also go through the clock spring?

It is highly likely that is the cause. If you wanted to be 100% certain you could meter it out.

The steering wheel comes off pretty easy, you might consider getting a used one and changing it yourself.

If it is a part that seldom fails, a used on should have low demand .

I changed my clock spring to fix my horn, i recommend going onto etsy and searching for the clock spring... mine was brand new in box and $80.

Only my horn didn't work, everything else was fine. it's easy and cheap enough to do.
