Hello, I'm having and issue with my 18 LX. Everytime I start the car, the climate controls reset (after about 1 min of nothing). I checked the blend door behind the glovebox and it seems to be stuck in the down position (fresh, not recirculate). I don't want to force it and break the actuator arm. The car just went off of CPO last month, so I am hoping it is an easy fix. Any suggestions?

Personally I wouldn’t let the dealer mess with it. The official dealer fix is to pull the dash so they can replace the whole blend door box.. and who knows what they’ll leave disconnected in that procedure. Or opportunities for misalignment of panels, squeaks, wires rubbing in five years…

Plus, this product has worked for dozens of users here:

I agree, that is what I was hoping to avoid. I am curious that my blend door is stuck down, so I am afraid to push it up and break the acutator arm. My brothers 200 had the door broken by the dealer and his door was in the up position (they broke it when the put the new filter in). Since mine is closed, I am not sure how to get it open... Any thoughts?

Tried pushing up the door while hitting the recirc button. The door did not budge. If the acutator arm was broken, I should be able to push the door up? I can't seem to find an example of someone having the door stuck down....

You'll probably need to remove the lower airbag and glove box assembly to get a look at the linkage and figure out what's going on. There are cases of the linkage just disconnecting and to me it seems plausible it can get jammed if that happens.
