Gone for 1 1/2 years. should be back in early summer 2012. Planning a Fall Moab trip in 2012 so I got to make it back for that. Maybe you machine will be done by then, you can tag along.
1-1/2 years is a long time! But we might be facing the same dealio...as I try to re-enter the job/business market

Well hopefully we can just stay here but the job/business outlook just plain sucks in Nevada. From there hopefully we can stay somewhere on the west coast...

Tell me about it! I've been trying to get into my career of choice for almost 2 years now, and its just getting worse.
Hearing people say "don't worry, just be patient, the economy will get better" is getting SOOOOO annoying!

Its tough here. 4-years is a long down cycle! And no end to it in sight either. The only consolation, which doesn't pay the bills, is the fact 41 or 42 states out of our 50 are in deep financial s***.
We were at Soldier Meadows the past few days and it was a bit concerning that my buddy Don and I were the ONLY inside guests on Saturday night! I haven't been up there to stay in years...in fact it was before the new ranch owners, Jim and Kathy, bought it in '05 or '06. They've done a wonderful job of fixing the place up! Kathy told me they had a decent year last year (2009) but this year they've had fewer folks coming up...they can easily see the down effects of the current economy.
It all makes you wonder how much worse its going to get before it starts getting better...

We're pretty much still treading water here at my work. It wouldn't take much to put us under.
I know it's a tough pill to swallow but I'd rather see a slow sustained recovery than a quick spike with a nasty re-bound.

Believe it or not, that is the current situation at the hospital....So they tell us, any way.
Im calling bull*hit on some of it though. Now there are more recent developments that Renown has done that will make the situation even more DIRE for St. Mary's...Renown has been trying VERY HARD to BURY the St.Mary's system for a LONNNNNNG TIME. There used to be the arguement that there was engouh work in town to sustain BOTH hospitals, but now...population attrition, insurance/ employment attrition...not so much the case any more.
