I am looking to get into a 1st gen 4Runner and want to move my cruiser. It has been fun, just ready for something different
When I got the Cruiser it had a bad ECM and I replaced it with a one from a 94. I also rebuilt the front axle with all OEM parts. I replaced the battery with a store brand dry core within the last year. I replaced rotors, pads, and the e-brake shoes all around. I upgraded the pads to 100 series pads for better stopping power. I rebuilt the power steering pump and replaced the factory cooler with a nice one for an automatic transmission. It added some more capacity. I removed the PAIR valve and placed new oem o2 sensors in it location. I sill have the PAIR valve if wanted. Removed factory antenna and used a cb am/fm switch for the cb antenna mounted to the back. I put a Pioneer head unit in with Ipod/USB hookups in and also changed all the speakers to coaxial pioneer ones. The CB stays with the vehicle, it is a nice Cobra 29 that has been modified by the local CB shop. I recently replaced the plugs wires cap and rotor with OEm stuff and replaced all the seals and grommets in the valve cover with OEM. there is a small oil leak coming from the oil pump, but it is just the seal and I already have the replacement for it. I have two OEM airfilters that are washable and pretty much brand new. It is factory locked, but I had to install a modified hazard switch to lock the center diff in high. I have most components to mount a York OBA system if interested. There is the compressor, a new machined water pump pulley with 3 grooves instead of 2, a bracket that is powdercoated designed for the cruiser, a 7 gallon tank, and a lot more stuff. I have the third row seats in my house, but they are in the same condition as the rest of the leather. I only use synthetic oil in it Rotella T 5w-40.
It has one spot of rust that you can see in the pics that is about 4 inches long. I have over 6500 in the vehicle. I bought it with 190,000 and now it has around 208,000. It is my daily driver. I recently had the wheels stolen, but I replaced them with ones from a 94 with 43,000 miles so they are really clean. Only prob is lost the cooper stts and now I have street tires. Price is now $4750
I am open to trades as long as it is a Toyota PU or 4Runner. I am in Lincoln, IL 62656. E-mail me at mylesprimo at gmail dot com if interested or call Myles at 217 671 6881.
