Anyone up for a Clayton trip the weekend of 8/12? I'm thinking of going up early-ish on Saturday and camping Sat. night.

It's been a while since I've been too. I know how to get to Green Acres and Frielings. Once there I'd have to feel my way around.

Just pick a WMA road and go for a drive. Lots of great Scenery up there. Wish I wasn't working. Hope to make it back up there in Sept.

How was Clayton? Meanie is still at Proffitts and I am having some tube work done on Big Tex. Yonkman and I will probably head to Clayton in October when it will hopefully be a bit cooler.

It was a good time. We camped at the state park (the only people there) and got up at the crack of dawn and hit the trail early. The temperature was actually pretty nice at night and in the morning. At around 3pm though I had sweated out the last of the Gatorade so we packed it up. Right as we pulled out of the Shell station in Clayton a nasty thunderstorm started dumping on us and continued off and on for an hour of the drive. I hadn't seen rain that hard since I don't know when.
Ran across a group of Jeeps from Plano. Watched one guy break his trackbar bolt and later they said one of them ripped the trackbar mount off of his frame.
I need to get the pictures together and I'll post some up.
