Hi all,

In Europe the larger Land Cruisers have all been rated to 3,500 kg (7,700 lbs) towing capacity, whereas in the US they have been rated lower.

I am trying to find a US Class IV receiver (8,000-10,000 lbs rating) I can fit to a 2003 Land Cruiser (model 100) which I am going to use together with an Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch.

So far I have been unsuccessful. Do you know if there is such a thing as a Class IV receiver which will fit a 2003 Land Cruiser, or one that can be modified easily?

Thanks,
Lars

Hey Lars,
Here in the US we can get Curt brand hitch receivers, but I don't think they are advertised as Class IV. Mine is a Class III. It is beefy and attaches to the frame in 3 places on each side. I wouldn't hesitate to put 6k or 7k pounds on it. But I do not know of a Class IV. They might be out there.

I plan to use mine as a winch mount or recovery point if needed, which on the Hundy would have a lot of force. I also plan to flat tow my Jeep sometimes with it, I used to have a truck that I towed with. Good luck,
Linc
