The 8274 Warn Winch is going to need some work (apparently not working) . Truck came with Old Man Emu suspension which is going to be moved to my current lowrider. Rest of the truck is pretty much rusted out and will parted out. So what do you need?

Merry Christmas!!!

How sweet is that...cool score.

How the h**l did that fit in the sleigh!!

Shouldn't take you long to get used to the color either. Is it a runner? It looks like the same year as yours, is it?
How much higher does it sit than yours?

We should have the next meeting at your house and swap the lift over:beer:

Not a runner - 3b Engine has lower crank problems and ??? . Rear Tub is beyond salvage.

Yep it's an 82 just like mine...

Trucks sit a lot lower ... as suspension has already been pulled off .;p

Thanks for offering to help with the suspension but I dont think I can wait that long... :bounce::bounce2:

I've already installed the rear portion and am "totally amazed" at the difference. The truck handles like a different truck!!! Even the :princess: was pleasantly surprised and can be counted among the OME converted. I 'll being installing the Front springs fairly soon as the truck looks "redneckish" with the back being jacked so high!!!

i could use that hardtop and sides, but i don't think i'll be getting anywhere close to the interior in the next couple weeks, then back to northern alberta for a couple months. Any chance you make it to vancouver or the island at all??...
Good score!
Cheers!

RigPig - Sorry No trips planned in the next couple of months...

I tried connecting power to the winch and no go...

I started pulling it apart and lokks like it hasn't been running for quite some time. The solenoids weren't activating initially but a few taps with a hammer seem to come back to life. I pulled the motor apart (which was covered with rust and dust inside) and figured I had nothing to lose and starting cleaning up the armature and windings. I cleaned up the brushes and stuck it back together and reapplied power - Nothing. I decided to help it by spinning the shaft manually while power was applied and it start turning for a few revolutions. I kept trying for a few more minutes and suddenly "the beast" awoke from the long deep sleep and roared to life. The motor appears to be strong and healthy now ...:bounce:

if you tear out the engine i could use the mounts attached to the frame. I plan to convert my rig to diesel in the future

Not positive, but I think the solinoids for your 8274 are a standard Delco (early Ford or the like) Mine did the same thing, I had it laying around for ten years and it took abit to "wake it up" but once you use it a few times it should be back to its reliable self.

Let's see some pics of the new lift!
