Yea, I meant to post this!

I owned this saw for many years, my friend Erik currently has mine and it is still going strong. Compared to using a chop saw, it is quieter, no sparks, all the debris falls under it (i put a pan down) and best of all the cut is straight and easier to prep for welding.
Next, I'll buy one of the Taiwanese made mitre band saws that Baleigh Sells:

Taiwan is the "New Japan" and has kinda taken over as the great value for low cost that Japan used to be known for. Taiwanese tools are much nicer that most Chinese stuff. Some Chinese stuff is very good these days but the range is very wide where as stuff made in Taiwan tends to be consistent and pretty well made. This is all nothing more than my personal opinion. Ellis still makes great saws that are made in the USA but I don't need that for my hobby tool.
This one is made in China but a great deal:

I've never tried that baleigh Coldsaw but I used to have the Dewalt one and used the band saw 99.9 percent of the time.
So nice to set the angle, turn it on and walk away while it cuts and then have it shut off when it's done. Nice and quiet too.
