All,

I have a 87 FJ60 that I bought new. I am now going through manual choke cables. For some reason they twist / bind and the manual pull jams. Doesn't seem to matter if I do the installation or if I take it to the local mechanic. Any thoughts? This is getting annoying.

All I can think of is that your routing might be off, can you compare it to another rig?

I have installed manual choke kits before and removed throttle cables, can a PITA but an average hobby/mechanic can do it. The housings get rusty inside or if the sheath is compromised , e.g. pinched or cut, it could be snagging the inner cable.
