Chocco ride is scheduled for Feb 21. (camping optional)

Less than 2 weeks away, who's in?

Probably the closest GOOD wheeling to Atlanta for most people, just 94 miles from downtown Atlanta in Jacksonville AL. It's a very easy drive out I-20 then hang a right at Anniston and go about 15 minutes.

Park offers good wheeling for both mildly built trucks as well as for the bigger guys. Terrain is mostly rock, hills and very little mud, most obstacles have bypasses for those guys with smaller trucks and body panels. One of the few parks that is less sensitive to rain due to the rocky terrain.

The main park entrance is less than 1 mile outside of town so you get all the luxuries such as local restaurants, gas, hotels etc.

I'm in, plan is to shoot out there Fri afternoon, hopefully ahead of the Friday traffic. Will be camping Fri night and probably Sat. night. eating in town just to keep the camping hassle to a minimum.

Are you bringing Egg McMuffins for everyone? ;):hillbilly:

I'm debating this one. The timing isn't great for me since my son has a birthday that week, so while I'd like to drag him along, there may be other plans. It'll be there, or Tellico in March (which will probably be wet, with spring coming on).

I should be there...hopefully leave early Friday afternoon

McMuffins for everyone! 'Cept Rocky, I bought his 2 weeks ago! :flipoff2:

Yay Nick!!

hey guys! I may move there for the weekend...

I ain't anything weldered on it yet!

somebody bring a welder! LOL!

You're gonna want that rear locker this time Tony.

I think I'm going to go with either your or John's suggestion (I can't remember who to give credit to due to the Knob Creek) and move the zip up front and go mechanical out back.

I have to work out some kid logistics to pull off the trip but I'm optimistic.

Johns idea and a good one at that. You best get busy if you're gonna have it done by late next week. You lunch boxing the thing or Lincoln locking?

that cage is still in Johns yard if you want it, don't know how long he's gonna be patient with me. If it's still around for the pig roast I might be able to haul it over there for ya.

here it is, the rub rails that mounted above the bed are gone as is the handle and extinguisher but with a little work it might fit.

Probably lunch box.

In other news and against all warnings and voices of common sense, I just jumped in with both feet. Just put an order in at Low Range for all the gear to do a RUF and 3" springs out back. Looks like I may be in need of the cage - do you still have the interior portion? I'll probably leave the bed open and just stick to an in-cab cage. I can probably make a trip up there to take a look - isn't John in Gainesville? Also looking for power steering and driveshaft gear if anyone has any extras laying around - I'll move all of this into a build thread once I get going.

Sorry for the hijack and hope to see ya'll at Chocco.

good for you, glad you've finally caught the real bug.

I do have the interior cage as well but ya kinda need both if you're gonna try to bolt it in. If you remember I had a walk through cab and the interior cage tied into the bed cage through the walk through cab.

lemme know.
