I'm gonna run Chiva on saturday. Maybe the upper loop as well.
Meet at the far east Tanque Verde road Circle K 12177 east Tanque Verde
8a.m.-ish departure
CB 7

Alvin,
I'd go, but Fed-Ex just droped off my DIY tire carrier parts...I'm going to be playin' with the welder.
Hope you get some taker's...John

Hey Alvin when you mentioned this the other day I was like sure unless there is something I'm forgetting. And there was my wife scheduled a vet appointment for the dog not me (she doesn't care when I'm sick). Also my buddy is graduating after 10 years at the U on Sat. But, I let my brother inlaw know and he might meet up with you. I'll hit you up when I get back from NM.

I've posted in 2 forums and no bites. I'll check back later this afternoon, but if no-one posts up, don't count one me being there at 8. I'll either go earlier or wait till evening.

Count me in and my girlfriend rebecca, anytime is fine I will check back in later to see. The upper loop??? Mesa de osa #4405 isn't that the lower loop?? is that the trail, or the one that goes above the falls, i went to the one above the falls but it ended directly on top, i thought it looped around could not find the trail. What ever you would like:) How much harder is it?
Jake

Well I'll be out there tomorrow morning I dont' have a computer so I cant check in tonight, I will try from a cell phone w/ internet connetion but that's always a struggle. I may just end up going down to the chimney rock loop and doing some matience on the trail..the cat claw acacias are getting to be a bit much and there is garbage that needs picking up. Other then that I love it down in the basin, maybe hit up alamo springs now that I have rock rails and a lift;p. Alvin I may just see you out there wondering the trails as usual:lol: If i do access the net tonight I will post to confirm!!!!!

Brian has my #, call me. I'll go in the a.m. if I know we'll be wheeling together. Otherwise I'll head out in the evening with my friend in his cherokee.

You made a wrong turn on the upper loop, it goes completely around up there and back down and across the creek near "the pools". Not any harder the the rest of the trail.

I'll meet you @ the circle K then partner!!! This is going to be fun!!! My girlfriend takes some kick azz pics so everyone be ready for that:lol: Finally the upper loop!!!!!

What a great trail day. Jake and Rebekah (sp) you guys are cool, I'll wheel with ya anytime.
I didn't have a camera, so we'll have to wait for Jake to post up. We did the loop over and around the falls and had lunch under a huge Oak tree. Did some nice off-camber and climbed some rocks. Awesome day!

Yeah that was a blast, it was a pleasure to meet you finally Alvin, we are always wheeling and would love to join you any time:) Our digital camera after 12 shots died on us. But rebecca had a regular camera..some of the pics will need to get developed (remember film people:lol: )so possibly more on monday or tuesday. Here you go yall missed out on a good run!!!!

When my FJC was stock I use to drool over this obstacle but could not make it, my 3" all pro lift has done it's job and I was also able to run this line!!! Alvins rig rocking it like nothing!!!

A collared lizard we found sitting waiting for a pic, he's shedding but still beautiful

This is the off camber climb to the upper loop!! this is vertical pics don't do it justice, this was one of the only lines I did not follow him on....... That rig is top notch!!!! As you all know……… custom recovery gear storage in the back, powertank, replacement parts, wiring, lot o tools!!! That was an inspiration to make a storage box in the back fully equipped w/ recovery gear!!!!!

This was hella tippy and slippy!!!!! WOW what an angle, i took these pics from in my rig, i wish I could have gotten out to show the angle better!!!

Cool pics man! That off camber climb felt a lot crazier than those pics show it. That lizard is sweet. I shoulda had my camera along, I could have gotten a few good shots of your wheel-stands and crossed up action.
Thanks for fudgin out the plate. I don't usually worry about that. I figure anybody behind me on the street can see it. Thanks though, I appreciate it.

I didn't end up going back out. Jim had stuff to get done so Zoe and I watched movies and I had a couple beers. My neighbor came over. He needed to press some new bushings into the A-arm assemblies of his sons souped up Jetta. So that was the rest of my day.

Looks like a great trip. That bumper looks SWEET Alvin!!

Yeah the line on the climb to the upper loop you took was amazing!!!! Holy crap I would say 40- 45 degrees vertical and sideways very close to ohhh ohhhhh:frown: But your truck did fantastically, nice driving!!!

I usually fudge out the licease for anyone on the trail, you never know when someone wants to F w/ you, it only takes a couple seconds to do. Wait for the pictures from Rebecca's camera they will be sweet, next time I'm bring spare batteries for the damn digi cam. We usually come out w/ more then 200 pics:lol: one of the advantages of having a girlfriend you manages a photo lab. I'll post them as they get developed. Looking forward to the next trail run just let me know.

Sorry you didn't make it back out the hills, @ least we got to run chiva:)

Thanks, I'm very pleased with it. I christened it nicely yesterday. I gave it a little rubbin in Moab, but I dropped on it good a couple times on this run.
