Chime for lights?

Last night when I took the dog out to wizz before I went to bed, I noticed that my headlights were still on (I parked five hours earlier after driving to Tahoe). The car started fine, but I was surprised that there was no chime to indicate that the lights were on at the time I parked and vacated the car.

Is this programmable or not a 'feature?'

Mine turn off whether they're on auto or not, but there is a chime - although not very loud.

It must be configurable somehow. My chime is not on. There are so many chimes on these cars I can't believe this one is off.
