my 98 with 69000 miles has a check engine light that comes on and I have it checked out but no code came up. so the machanic reset and said i might need a tume up I changed the plugs and pcv valve but the light came back on about two weeks later. does anyone have any suggestion.....

Is the gas cap tight? Have you had any Throttle Body issues?

I had a CEL come on and it was an O2 sensor. But there was a code.

thanks for the advise UZJ come to think about it I do think i have an after market gas cap. and could it also be some thing with my trottlebody cause there is a slite hesitating feeling when i go up a hill on the highway, it feels like the power comes and goes in and out. can't figure that one out. and i just canged my plugs and pcv valve but still the same thing....

Herro... at 69000 miles, it's most likely the O2 sensors. Have a real mechanic check all 4 sensors, and stop using cheap gas, or gas additives (after sensor replacement)
