Hello all

I’m in the process of upgrading to an LX470 (from 4runner). The one I’m looking at locally is a 2004 lx470, everything seems to be fine, except for the check engine light. The owner said that’s because of the air suspension system. Is that true?
Second part, can I get rid of the air suspension and go with the conventional coils? Thank you

GXs have the air suspension. LXs have hydraulic. Called AHC. Many people much more knowledgeable about AHC on here than I am but I know you can rip it out and go conventional suspension. Search AHC replacement and you'll have tons of information

CEL (Check engine light) could be many different things. You can drive to parts store and they check to see what codes set off the CEL.

If you don't know these 100 series or not experienced at inspecting. It would be good to find a Land Cruiser specialist and have it inspected.

No AHC will not throw a check engine light.
