Hey everyone,

I’ve been searching for a Bluetooth adapter for my 2001 LX470 and wanted to share my experience.

At first, I tried one of those Bluetooth tape adapters, but the sound quality was so bad I couldn’t stand it.

Then I considered the GROM-BT3, but at around $150, it seemed a bit too expensive for me.

Finally, I decided to take a chance on a $30 adapter I found on eBay: Car Bluetooth MIC Adapter AUX Audio Cable for Toyota 5+7 Pin Camry, Corolla, Lexus. Installing it was super easy, and it works perfectly. The seller says you can control the Bluetooth with the radio buttons, but that feature didn’t work with my non-Navi radio.

Anyone else have experience with this kind of setup? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Interesting, looks like a great alternative! I just bought a cigarette lighter type FM transmitter which works off bluetooth (it's coming today off Amazon for £13), but this looks like a good option to explore.

Keep us posted how it performs :)

Is the sound quality all there? I don't like the FM transmitters cause they degrade the sound a lot.

It is good as far as I can tell. I'm not an audiophile or anything but it doesn't make a difference to me! I have one from Walmart, paid like 30 and it works great.

Have been using mine for almost a year, great sound quality and no problems whatsoever. Infinitely better than the Bluetooth cassette!

Does anyone know if this will work on the Nakamichi head unit on the LX?
