So this is my first post here.
This vehicle -- a 2004 GX 470 -- has been in my family for a long time. The original owner never really took it offroad or anything like that. In fact, she never really took advantage of what it can do.
A few months back, the original owner basically gave this to me when she bought a new one. At about 178,000 miles, the car's first owner was literally a little old lady to drove this to church and the shopping mall. That said, when I got it, I knew that it needed a little work, but beyond the cosmetic stuff, I'm still not sure what all I will need to do. There are some obvious things that I need to work on:
(1) there is an electrical issue so that the clock in the dash does not work.
(2) the radio (a CD player and tape player no less) does not work with the speakers.
(3) I need to replace the cracks in the windshield.
(4) I need to remove the third row seats.
Yeah, I know that sounds really basic, but I am new to this and looking for suggestions and tips on what to do (and how to do it). I will post some photos of my new toy and would love some suggestions and links.
In the meantime, I'll poke around the forum and I'm glad to be here.
