Hi guys I have a hdj100 and the battery light comes on and stays on,
I have replaced the alternator and is charging correctly ,
Everything is working as is , however the charge \battery light still remains on all the time ?

Any ideas

Simon

Lol, I would but apparently if you do that the alternator won't charge at all???

Check the wire from the back of the alternator which feeds the light, also has the battery bin replaced?

There is a small 7Amp fuse in the engine bay that if blown will cause the battery light to come on. Check it out as it was the cause of much investigation on my side.

Hi guys thanks f or replies, I have checked the fuse and that's fine , I replaced it anyway,
I didn't replace any battery, it's starts fine, as for the wire which goes from the alternator to light I'm not sure on which one it is?

If you put a multimeter on volts across the terminals of batt, what does it read running and not running?

The measurement are 12.5 when offh and when charging is 14.5ish
It's not effecting anything (that I know off) just annoying

Well battery and alternator seem to be ok then, must be a fault with the light circuit, do u have acces to wiring diagram?

Yes I do, I have the maneul on disc but don't really know what looking for?
Any guidance would be great
